Senior Cybersecurity Analyst (f/m/d)

Your tasks

CARFAX Europe is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our information security team in Munich. As a Senior Analyst, you’ll take the lead in defending our company against evolving threat landscape, driving incident response, and strengthening our security posture.

As a senior level analyst, you will be collaborating closely with other engineers, developers, and managers within our cross-functional environment.

Your daily tasks:
  • Monitor, analyse, and evaluate security threats
  • Identify suspicious patterns and anomalies
  • Conduct deep-dives into actual and potential cybersecurity incidents
  • Manage and prioritise vulnerabilities in both code and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture of the company
  • Translate complex security issues into clearly defined actionable items

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or similar
  • 5+ years of combined experience in either Cybersecurity Engineering or Analytics role(s)
  • Strong experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, etc..)
  • Solid understanding of networks (TCP/IP, DNS, etc..)
  • Experience in Vulnerability Management Platforms (WIZ, Tenable, etc..)
  • Strong experience in SIEM tooling (MS Sentinel, Splunk, etc..)
  • Understanding of security frameworks and best practices
  • A certification like CompTIA Security +, CompTIA CySA+ or CEH would be desireable
  • Strong understanding and experience of EDR Solutions
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10
  • Experience with DLP Systems
  • Basic automation skills (scripting in Python, PowerShell, etc..)
  • Strong verbal and written English (C1)
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to details
  • Natural team-Player with "can-do" attitude
